Hi,
I have received a letter from LCS regarding a utility bill with name on the letter for my old address.
The letter says we have recently undertaken an investigation into the utility supply at address stated between 2003 - dec 2008. Our investigation has lead us to believe that you are the one responsible for this. Would you contact us so we can discuss repayment of the outstanding invoice.
I have then had a letter a week later threatening solicitors in a final demand letter which is very scary.
I have been away traveling for a year and these letters have been sent to my parents house where I have never lived. I'm worried about people turning up on their doorstep.
What are my rights? I have lived in the address mentioned but not for the complete time mentioned in the letter. Can i get them to verify the exact time & costs? Thank you for your time.

Just ignore all communication from LCS. Never let them think that someone is actually reading the mail they send. They want you to be scared because that's how they try to get money out of people. They don't base their accusations on fact, they're just chancers. No-one is going to turn up on your parents' doorstep - I've had the same letters.

A letter about a debt, from a company I have never been with, about an address i have never lived at. Sent to my parents address. Thank you to whom-ever set this site up. Saw the GMTV video... very glad you've set this site up to ease our minds about these scammers.
