Received a letter from LCS today and quite worried! It says it's a 'Final Demand' for payment for a utility bill UP TO 31/3/2008 (no other info on dates or breakdown of the amount) failing this I MAY be visited by a representative or the case MAY be referred to a solicitor. I know the previous tenants left without paying their bills (I live in a rented property) and when applying for phone line was told this. The problem is its got my name on it....but its addressed to the wrong gender!!? Where in the world have they gotten my (incorrect) details from Not sure what to do. Have always paid my bills and quite tempted to just settle it. All help is much appreciated.

Ok, first things first, who is the client? Scottish power? E.on? STW? Secondly, no ones coming round to your house.
Im afraid to say though if it has your name on it you may be liable, what details are incorrect? Just the gender?
Dont settle it yet.
